Interrobang(d)
I found this photo in my Google Reader feed this morning and felt it fitting to post it, as it perfectly embodies Interrobangd’s namesake, the interrobang. Here, I must give a hat tip to @Compl33t for introducing me to this little known punctuation mark, which Wikipedia describes thus:
The interrobang, ‽, is a nonstandard English-language punctuation mark intended to combine the functions of the question mark (also called the interrogative point) and the exclamation mark … (known in printers’ jargon as the bang).
…
A sentence ending with an interrobang asks a question in an excited manner, expresses excitement or disbelief in the form of a question, or asks a rhetorical question.
The photo is of a media or art form known as Shadow Art.
